Launches Armstrong at end of international career in 2011 Tour Down Under

Latest cycling race professional Lance Armstrong out of the United States will be 2011 Tour Down Under in January, the race organisers said in a statement earlier today.

Armstrong has chosen the Edition 2009 of the ProTour race make his return bike after a retreat for two years and made his debut for his own professional team team RadioShack, race this year.

South Australian State first Minister Mike Rann, and race Director Mike Turtur confirmed Armstrong's participation in the race for the stage, which takes place from 16 to 23 January.

Rann said that the race would cycling fans the chance to "become part of history as lance participates at the Boardwalk farewell as a professional international soil."

39-Year-old Armstrong is currently the subject of a federal investigation of United States on doping in cycling professionnel.Armstrong, who won the France Tower a record seven times refused to repeatedly alleged that took products improving performance.

The Tour Down Under is the first entry confirmed on his schedule for what will likely be his last competitive season.

"I am delighted to competition in my last professional journey outside the Tour Down Under Santos United States", Armstrong said in a statement. "It will be my third time to the event and I am sure I will enjoy as much as I have the first two hours.

"I will never forget the reception that we received in Adelaide, when we launched the global campaign Livestrong.Je am race and also investigates the progress made in the South of the Australia.".

Surviving cancer Armstrong has chosen the Tour Down Under 2009 to launch his Livestrong campaign at the battle of cancer worldwide.
